Social Transformer is an engaging business innovation competition that brings teams together to address real social challenges. Participants move beyond simply discussing problems: they study the issue, understand the people affected, and develop practical solutions. By combining creative thinking with business ideas, technology, and policy support, teams create plans that are both useful and financially sustainable. They test and improve their ideas before presenting them to a panel of judges. The competition promotes teamwork, innovation, and social responsibility, encouraging participants to turn thoughtful ideas into solutions that create meaningful, long-term benefits for communities.
Criteria 1: Relevance and Understanding of the Social Problem – 20 Marks Criteria 2: Innovation and Creativity of the Solution – 25 Marks Criteria 3: Feasibility and Practicality – 20 Marks Criteria 4: Business Model & Sustainability - 20 Marks Criteria 5: Clarity and Quality of Submission – 15 Marks Total - 100 Marks
Guidelines: • Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students. • Participation must be in teams of 3–5 members. • Cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged. • Presentations must be in PowerPoint (PPT/PDF) format. • All work must be original. • Plagiarism or AI-generated content without proper validation may result in disqualification. • Late submissions will not be accepted. For Round 1 Teams must submit: • Problem Statement (Maximum 250 words) • Proposed Solution (Maximum 500 words) • Business Model Canvas (1 page) • One 5-slide PPT (excluding title slide)
