SENSORED returns as TEC’s iconic Gravitas event, continuing a legacy of 11 years of hands on innovation and technical exploration. This immersive 18 hour experience brings together technology enthusiasts, aspiring creators, and problem solvers to explore the world of sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT. The event begins with a 10 hour hands on workshop where participants will learn the fundamentals of sensors, their interfacing techniques, and their applications in real world systems. Participants will get practical exposure to microcontroller based development using platforms such as ESP32 and will learn how sensors can be integrated with microcontrollers to collect, process, and respond to data. The workshop is designed to provide an engaging learning experience through practical experimentation and guided activities. The experience then moves into an 8 hour hackathon, where participants will apply the concepts learned during the workshop to build innovative sensor based solutions. Participants will register individually, while teams of 3 to 4 members will be formed for the hackathon. Working together, teams will brainstorm ideas, identify real world problems, develop prototypes, and demonstrate their solutions. SENSORED focuses on learning by doing, giving participants the opportunity to move beyond theory and gain practical experience in building functional projects. The event encourages creativity, teamwork, technical thinking, and innovation while providing participants with the resources and knowledge required to bring their ideas to life. One of the key highlights of the event is that participants will get to take their completed project with them. This gives them a tangible outcome of their learning and allows them to continue experimenting, improving, and exploring sensor and IoT technologies even after the event. SENSORED is designed to be more than just a workshop or hackathon. It is an immersive experience where participants learn, build, collaborate, and innovate while gaining practical exposure to sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT applications.
