Short Description In Knot and Strand, efficiency is an illusion and every choice leaves a mark. Teams step into a controlled trial of resource allocation and calculated risk, where blind bids, hidden hazards, and blueprint assembly dictate who advances. With no element of chance, your carried-over decisions will either build your passage or seal your fate. Long Description Nothing in Knot and Strand happens by accident. Designed as a multi-stage arena of pure strategy, participants enter a unified space to test their capacity for foresight, resource management, and composure under pressure. With zero reliance on luck, your team’s survival across three escalating phases depends entirely on what you spend, what you risk, and what you leave behind. * Round 1: First Light – The trial begins in silence. Teams are handed cryptic blueprints and kits polluted with deceptive decoys. You must filter the noise and assemble the core structure to claim initial advantages for the journey ahead because early mistakes will follow you. * Round 2: Chiral Network – The map opens, but the path is shrouded. Teams place sealed bids to secure scarce delivery contracts before the terrain turns against them. Once routes are locked, hidden hazard zones reveal themselves forcing teams to surrender resources or decipher silent puzzles to keep moving. * Round 3: One Last Mile – Only those who managed their assets wisely reach the final stretch. No fresh supplies are granted; you must survive on what you have preserved. With all hazards exposed and a single high-value objective on the line, a live auction forces a final, transparent gamble to determine who emerges victorious.

Knot & Strand is a three-round strategy and management event where teams compete through resource allocation, risk evaluation, and time-bound decision-making challenges, with performance carrying forward to determine the ultimate winners.

Evaluation criteria Round 1 score is based on the accuracy and completeness of the assembled structure against the blueprint, with partial credit for incomplete builds. Round 2 and Round 3 scores follow the formula:

Each team must consist of 3 members, and a team should represent a single college. ● A total of 20 teams will be accommodated for the event. ● All rounds are conducted indoors within a single hall, and teams are expected to remain within the designated event area for the duration of the event. ● Resources and standing earned in earlier rounds carry forward and directly affect a team's position in subsequent rounds; there is no reset between rounds. ● All outcomes are determined through planning, bidding, and verifiable puzzle solving. No round involves random chance. ● Decisions once submitted or locked in during a round, such as bids or route selections, cannot be changed.
